Clara Fern Carpenter, daughter of Caleb Baal Carpenter and Clara Etta Woolum, was born on 6 December 1918 in Newcastle, McClain Co., OK. Nov. 6, 2002. Fern was born Dec. 6, 1918 in Newcastle, OK to Caleb Baal and Clara Etta (Woolum) Carpenter. After graduating from Newcastle U.S., Fern became a dental assistant. For many years, she cared for patients at Dr. Thomas Dudley's office. Fern dedicated her life to loving and serving the Lord. She was a member of the Walker Ave. Baptist Church, where she taught primary Sunday School and was active in nursing home ministries. Later in her life, Fern became a member of Southwood Baptist Church, where she continued to be a blessing to others. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul Coffey. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon & husband, Don Everett of OKC; step-son, Larry Coffey & wife, Judy of Wayne, OK; brother, Fred Carpenter of St. Louis, Mo; sister, Lola Bruscato of Edmond, OK; 3 grandsons: Greg Everett, Bart Everett & wife, Traci, and Kevin Everett & wife, Donna; 9 great grandchildren: Evan, Lindsi, Jeshua, Lauren, Kori, Kaitlin, Blake, Elise, and Madalyn. Fern touched countless lives by living an exemplary Christian life filled with kindness, generosity, and servant hood. She always put the needs of her family and others, before her own. She will be fondly remembered for her unconditional love and devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother. She was a friend to all she encountered, but had a uniquely special bond with all of her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 2212 NW 50th Street Suite #246 C, OKC, OK 73112.
