Louise Michaelson Coffey, 81, of Nitro passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at her home after a long illness.

She was a former employee of Stone and Thomas, and was a member of the Dunbar Church of the Nazarene. Louise had been a resident of Nitro for 16 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Coffey; her daughter, Mary Townzen; parents, Otto Henry and Dorothy Grace Michaelson; and her sister, Elizabeth Cole.

Surviving are her sons, Darrell Thomas Coffey of Kansas City, Missouri, and Michael Ray Coffey of Inverness, Fla.; daughter, Connie Charlet of Zachary, La.; brothers, Wilburn "Hoot" Michaelson of Marmet, Clarence Michaelson of Charleston, and Henry Michaelson and Ray Michaelson of Nitro; sisters, Margaret Ann Keller of Nitro, Mary Aileen Matheny of Fairmont, and Dorothy G. Moles of Leon; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Dunbar Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Philip Bowles, the Rev. Patricia Fischer and the Rev. Ned Crouch officiating.

Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glascow. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
