Joshua D. Coffey and Selena Storie⁵⁹³⁰ were married on 31 December 1854 in Yadkin Valley, Caldwell Co., NC.^5931,5932 They^{^5931,5932} appeared in the census on 21 July 1860 in Camden Co., MO.⁵⁹³³

"They moved to Mack's Creek, Missouri, before 1860. Robert Coffey furnishes information that their oldest child was born in Missouri and if so, they must have gone to Missouri immediately after their marriage. Joshua must have died after 1860 and Selena married a second time as she shows as Selena Edmistor and has an Edmiston child in 1870 census. An estate settlement filed in 1873 in Caldwell County to settle the estate of Elijah Coffey, brother of Austin Coffey, lists as his heirs, the two sons of his nephew Joshua Coffey, dec'd, and indicates they are minors living in Missouri." Selena Storie, daughter of Eli Storie and Mary Carlton, was born circa 1829 in North Carolina. She appeared in the census on 18 July 1870 in Russell Twp., Camden Co., MO.⁵⁹³⁴

4971	i.	Thomas Calvin Coffey was born on 14 December 1856 in North Carolina. He lived with his mother in Proctor, Russell Twp., Camden Co., MO on 18 July 1870. Thomas died in Springfield, Greene Co., MO on 20 November 1933 of a cerebral hemorrhage and was buried at Eastlawn Cemetery in Springfield, Greene Co., MO in November 1933 .⁵⁹³⁵
4972	ii.	William L. Coffey was born on 9 February 1861 in Missouri. He lived with his mother in Proctor, Russell Twp., Camden Co., MO on 18 July 1870. William died on 19 January 1874 at the age of 12 in Macks Creek, Russell Twp., Camden Co., MO and was buried at Green Cemetery in Macks Creek, Russell Twp., Camden Co., MO.⁵⁹³⁶
