17039. Fred James "Freddie" Coffey was born on 26 November 1946 in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA. Freddie died on 9 August 2008 at the age of 61 in Stuarts Draft, Augusta Co., VA and was buried at Augusta Memorial Park in Lyndhurst, Augusta Co., VA on 13 August 2008.⁴³⁴⁹⁸

Fred James "Freddie" Coffey, 61, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008, at his home.

Born November 26, 1946, in Waynesboro, he was a son of Swanson James Coffey of Stuarts Draft and the late Madgelina "Madge" Lucy Campbell Coffey.

Freddie graduated from Wilson Memorial High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his military service he went to work for Dupont and retired as an MST after 35 years. He was a member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church where he had served as the Sunday School Director. He was also a 10 year member of the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad and was the manager for the Stuarts Draft Lions Club Babe Ruth League. An avid gardener, he also helped with Little League Football and cherished spending time with his grandkids.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his mother, were uncles, George Wyatt Campbell Jr. and William F. Campbell.

In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Teresa Faye Schade Coffey whom he married March 18, 1967; three sons, Todd A. Coffey and his wife, Kaki, of Raphine, Troy A. Coffey and his wife, Melanie, of Greenville and Terry A. Coffey and his wife, Krissy, of Stuarts Draft; three brothers, Ronnie F. Coffey and his wife, Dianne, Dennis W. Coffey and his wife, Linda, and Gary W. Coffey and his wife, Cary, all of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Betty A. Kincaid and her husband, Russell, and Debbie S. Mull and her husband, Conway, all of Stuarts Draft; grandkids, Kara, Hannah, Jacob and Wyatt Coffey and Jordan, Aaron and Zachary Gray; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008, from the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Earl Monroe and Pastor Judson Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post 340.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Coffey, Jr. Kincaid, Dennis Coffey, Gary Coffey, Shane Brown, Hank Fitzgerald, David Coffey and Henry Fitzgerald. Honorary pallbearers will be grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Teresa Faye "MeMe" Schade, daughter of John Monroe Schade and Marie Elizabeth Cohron, was born on 24 October 1948 in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA. Teresa died at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Augusta Co., VA on 2 November 2015. Augusta Memorial Park in Lyndhurst, Augusta Co., VA on 5 November 2015 .⁴³⁴⁹⁹

Teresa Faye “MeMe” (Schade) Coffey, 67, of Stuarts Draft, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at Augusta Health.Born October 24, 1948 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Marie E. (Cohron) Schade.Teresa was a member of Stuarts Draft Baptist Church. In earlier years, she was employed by Hollister and later Target Distribution where she was a faithful employee of both places until she retired. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and family. Those who knew her will remember her as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred James “Freddie” Coffey.Survivors include her three loving sons, Todd A. Coffey and wife, Kaki of Raphine, Troy A. Coffey and wife, Melanie of Greenville and Terry A.
