Margaret Voris (Underwood) Schaefer passed away Mar. 5, 2010 in Topeka, KS. She was 77. She was born Feb.12, 1933 to Richard T. and Virginia (Voris) Underwood in Globe, AZ. 

She has resided in Topeka since 1962 where she worked as a waitress for various restaurants over the years and also worked for Adams Business Forms. 

She married Jacob Schaefer in 1969, they were divorced. 

Her children are Jeffrey Harrison (CA), Jennifer Orton (Bill) Topeka, KS), Elizabeth Rannabarger (Topeka, KS), Kelly Bilbro (AZ), Anne Schaefer and Stephen Schaefer, both of Topeka. She had 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be held at Meriden Cemetery, Meriden, KS Wed. Mar. 10 at 1pm.

Margaret Voris Underwood and Jacob John Schaefer were married in 1969. Jacob John Schaefer was born on 14 February 1934 in Topeka, Shawnee Co., KS. Jacob died in Topeka, Shawnee Co., KS on 17 October 2012 and was buried at Meriden Cemetery in Meriden, Jefferson Co., KS on 27 October 2012 .⁴⁷²⁵⁰

Jacob Jake John Schaefer Jr. passed away on October 17th, 2012 in Topeka, KS. He was born to Jacob John Schaefer, Sr. and Ann (Urban) Schaefer on February 14, 1934 in Topeka, KS. 

He graduated in 1952 from Hayden High School and went on to attend Washburn University on a football scholarship. He graduated with an Associate s degree in Business Management. 

He served during the Korean War and was stationed in Italy. 

He retired from Adams Business Forms as a pressman, after 35 years. 

He married Margaret Underwood in 1969. She preceded him in death in 2010. 

They had two children: Anne Marie Schaefer and Stephen James Schaefer. By marriage Jake also has four step-children: Jeffrey Harrison, Jennifer Orton (Bill), Mildred Elizabeth Rennebarger, and Robert Kelly Bilbro (deceased). 

Jake was also preceded in death by two of five siblings: Sylvester Schaefer (Betty), and Agnes Elliot (Lloyd), as well as his favorite nephew Lloyd Elliott, Jr. 

Surviving siblings are Irene Lundstrum of Omaha, NE, Frances Gigous (Joe) of Topeka, KS, and Pete Schaefer (Mary) of Las Vegas, and many nieces and nephews. 

Jake also had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. 

Jake s passions after family were sports, mainly football, but he also bowled for many leagues over the years. He loved to cook and bake, which none of his daughters could ever out do him and we never minded because he always let us taste test his creations! He had a big heart, always helping others, especially family. He was a beloved father who will be greatly missed. 

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Meriden Cemetery. Arrangements are with Chapel Oaks Topeka, 3rd & Topeka Blvd. Memorial contributions are to be sent in care of the funeral home. Jacob Jake John Schaefer Jr.
