Letha died in Warrensburg, Johnson Co., MO on 31 July 2011 and was buried at Lebanon City Cemetery in Lebanon, Laclede Co., MO on 3 August 2011 .31335 Letha Eldora Coffey of Warrensburg, formerly of Windsor, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the Western Missouri Medical Center, Warrensburg. She was born Nov. 8, 1917, in Laclede County, the daughter of Tscharner DeGraffenreid and Ella Ann (Arnold) DeGraffenreid. On Feb. 6, 1941, in Stoutland, she married Lloyd Delmar Coffey. He died in an automobile accident on Feb. 19, 1952 in Eldorado, Kan. Eldora was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She was a switchboard operator for the telephone company south of Windsor for some time and then worked for the Windsor International Shoe Factory, retiring after 25 years of service. She also worked as a cook at the Windsor Senior Center, and babysat and took care of the elderly for several years. Eldora was a member of Grover Park Baptist Church, Warrensburg, and a former member of First Baptist Church, Windsor. She made a profession of faith at an early age and was a devoted Christian all her life. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many and will be missed by all. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Boland, Warrensburg; a son, Charles Coffey and his wife, Dixie, Sedalia; three grandchildren, Sheila (Roy) Pigman; Lisa (Rich) Cooperider and Jason (Heather) Coffey; five great-granddaughters, Skyler and Sierra Pigman, Liza and Renee Cooperider, and Ava Coffey; and a great-grandson, Tyler Coffey; a brother, O.E. "Ellis" DeGraffenreid, Chula Vista, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven brothers; 10 sisters; and a son-in-law, George Boland. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, with Pastor Steve Rook officiating. |
