Burleson - Bill Coffey Sr., owner of Coffey Transmission Repair, died Thursday at a Houston hospital. He was 62.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Burleson Church of Christ, where he was a deacon. Burial will be in Mountain Peak Cemetery in Ellis County.

Laurel Land Funeral Home in Burleson is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Coffey was born in Fort Worth and lived in Burleson for 36 years. He was the former owner of the 1898 House Restaurant in Burleson.

Mr. Coffey was on the 1986 Sesquicentennial Wagon Train and was a member of Burleson Lodge 649, He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1054.

Survivors: Wife, Alice Coffey of Burleson; two sons, Billy Carl Coffey Jr. and Alan Dale Coffey,both of Cleburne; daughter, Threcia Pentecost of Joshua; Brother Durwood Coffey of Burleson; and three grandchildren.

Billy Carl Coffey and Alice Oswalda Lamsens were married on 5 October 1951 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX. Alice Oswalda Lamsens was born on 22 July 1930 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., TX.
