Born in Nelson County, Aug. 13, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Lafayette Givens Taylor and Lillie Coffey Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gay Campbell Sr. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church. She is survived by a sister, Nancy T. Smoot of Piney River; two grandchildren, John Hill Campbell and Margaret Elizabeth Copeland; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Carmina Taylor, also of Piney River; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul G. Campbell Jr.; a grandson, Paul G. Campbell III; three brothers, Robert, Melvin and William H. Taylor; and four sisters, Delgar Trice, Signora Dillard, Mary Hatter and Josephine Williams. A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, in Jonesboro Cemetery with the Rev.
