She departed this life Friday, July 22, 2011 after a difficult illness. She was united in marriage with Henry P. Coffey who passed away August 14, 1982. She is survived by her sister-Emma Dolen and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is Sonya Dobbs her faithful caregiver, whom she lovingly called "Granny". She is preceded in death by her sisters-Sallie Roberts, Jinnie Worley, Neva West, Effie Tapley, Irene Hoover and her brother, George Coffey. A faithful wife, she worked alongside her husband, Henry in his garage and for Everett Dunagan at Dunagan's Grocery for many years. She had accepted Christ as her Lord and attended the Tuttle's Chapel United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted. The funeral service was held Monday, July 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Steve Wheeler officiating, burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
