Whitley City — Betty Farris, age 69 years, Whitley City, Kentucky died September 14, 2010 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Friday, September 17, 2010 at McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Stephens officiating. Burial was in Flat Rock Cemetery.

She was born at Wiborg, Kentucky on January 11, 1941 the daughter of the late Roe Coffey and Edna Roberts Richards. She was a homemaker and member of Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

Her parents and her daughters, Deidra Kay and Michelle Dana Farris, precede her in death. Lee Coffey is the deceased brother and Ronnie Perry, Jr. is the deceased grandson.

Survivors include her children, Dwight Farris and Lori, Parkers Lake, Kentucky; Gaylia Vining, Wiborg, Kentucky; Paula Perry and husband Ronnie, Whitley City, Kentucky; Deanna Davidson and husband Duane, Anna, Ohio and Jackie Farris, St. Augustine, Florida. The surviving sisters and brother are, Shirley Tucker and husband, Dean, Parkers Lake, Kentucky and Judy Loudermilk, Stearns, Kentucky Randy Richards of Somerset, Kentucky and Helen Coffey, Wiborg, Kentucky is surviving sister-in-law. Eight grandchildren survive.
