ELLETTSVILLE — Thomas Lee Litten, 88, of Ellettsville, died Thursday at Bloomington Hospital.

Born Feb. 16, 1911, in Stinesville, he was the son of Elmer and Goldie (Melick) Litten.

A stonecutter, he was a member of Ellettsville First Baptist Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars 10526.

Survivors include his wife, Lois (Coffey) Litten; one daughter, Janet Vogel of Grosse Point Woods, Mich.; two brothers, Erle Litten of Bloomington and Rex Litten of Lacey, Wash.; two sisters, Inez Waddell of Clinton, Miss., and Nina Wood of Valencia, Calif.; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Villanova officiating. The Bloomington and Ellettsville VFWs and Bloomington American Legion will conduct graveside military rites.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville.
