Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Riffe and Ephriam Pennington Vardaman were married on 24 March 1868 in Collin Co., TX.¹²⁶⁵⁷ Ephriam Pennington Vardaman, son of Jeremiah Vardaman and Mary Coffey, was born on 9 January 1837 in Kentucky. He lived with his father in Lincoln Co., KY on 7 August 1850. He lived with the Wm Portman family in Mantua, Collin Co., TX on 23 July 1860. Ephriam died on 6 March 1901 at the age of 64 in Collin Co., TX and was buried at Lair Cemetery in Anna, Collin Co., TX.¹²⁶⁵⁶
