"I promised my dictor and nurse we would have them at my 100th borth day celebration." Asked how it felt to be 100, "Granny," as she is known to friends, replied: "I reel pretty good." Mrs. Coffey, mother of six children, has more than 100 grand-chilldren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. There of her daughters and one son as still living. She credits her long life to the Lord, whim "I've trusted ever since I was a little girl." Nancy died on 14 October 1953 at the age of 101 in Richmond, Wayne Co., IN and was buried at Merritt Cemetery in Wildie, Rockcastle Co., KY.8984 Mount Vernon Signal, Thursday, October 22, 1953: Mrs. Jane Coffey Claimed By Death ‘Aunt’ Jane Coffey was born December 7, 1851 and passed away October 14, 1953 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Belle Laswell of Richmond, Indiana, where she had made her home for the past year. She had been sick for several years. In 1898 she was married to T. A. Coffey and to this union were born eight children, four of whom survive, Mrs. Sallie Clark of Orlando Ky., Mrs Letha Clark of English, Ky., Mrs. Belle Laswell of Richmond, Ind., Rex Coffey of Hummel, Ky., also 32 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives will mourn her passing. Mrs. Coffey was a member of the Hummel Grove Baptist Church which she joined in 1863. Services were held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, October 17, 1953 at the home of Astor McGuire. Interment was in the Maret Cemetery, Wildie. Bro. W. Asa Stokes officiated. Arrangements were made by the Cox Funeral Home. Tilmon A. Coffey and Nancy Jane Jordan had the following children:
