Ethel died on 19 October 1971 at the age of 85 in Marengo, McHenry Co., IL and was buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Marietta, Love Co., OK.17740,17741 Funeral Held For Mrs. Ethel Montgomery Funeral services for Ethel Montgomery were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in the chapel of the Goodrich Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Chaney, officiating. Mrs. Montgomery died 19 October in Marengo, Illinois following a lengthy illness. She was born 19 December 1885 in Giles County, Tennessee and came to Indian Territory in 1898 with her parents Mr.J.B. Brintle. On 3 November 1902 she married to Lawrence Montgomery in Gainesville, Texas and made their home in Marietta, Okla until his death in 1945. Mrs. Montgomery continued to live here until 1954 when she moved to Ada, Okla and later to Illinois. A daughter, Mrs. W.O. [Myrtle] Smith preceded her in death October 1968. Mrs. Montgomery had been a member of the Baptist Church for many years. Those surviving are, one daughter Mrs. E.M. [Mary Helen] Walker of Marengo, Illinios; one granddaughter; Mrs. Richard Grisham of Bartlesville; two Grandsons, Paul & David Walker; one Great Grandson and one Great Granddaughter; one sister, Mrs. Jodie Porter of Marietta, Okla. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was under the direction of Goodrich Funeral Home. Serving as casket bearers were Raymond Brintle, L.A.[Nig] Brintle, J.B. Brintle, Lawrence McCarty, Jack Blankenship and W.C.[Buddy] Cochran. [Sharon Rhoades] David Lawrence Montgomery and Ethel Isola Brintle had the following children:
