Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Yadkin Baptist church of which he was a member. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Officiating at the rites will be the Rev. Robert Frye, pastor, the Rev. Robert Shores and the Rev. Clell Cook. He is survived by his wife, the former Ollie Brooks; two daughters, four sons, two sisters, two brothers and four grandchildren. Hardie Filmore Curtis and Ollie Vertrena Brooks were married on 22 October 1921 in Patterson, Caldwell Co., NC.34300 Ollie Vertrena Brooks, daughter of John Brooks and Bessie , was born on 22 November 1905 in North Carolina.
