Coy was born on Monday, December 01, 1919 in Mt. Comfort, Illinois to the late Frank and Sarah (Dye) Coffey. He worked for many years with Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail) as a conductor. On October 12, 1940, Coy married Ersula M. "Sue" (Gaines) Coffey. They were married for 56 years before her passing in February 1997. Coy is survived by his sons, Kenneth Coffey of Spenser, and James Coffey and his wife Karen of Indianapolis; daughters, Carolyn Bryant and Beverly Oliver both of Martinsville. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Janet Wallen and Denise Alex. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev.
