Cassandra died at Glover Nursing Home in La Marque, Galveston Co., TX on 27 January 1968 of bronchopneumonia and was buried at Alta Loma Cemetery in Santa Fe, Galveston Co., TX on 29 January 1968 .⁶⁵⁷⁷
