Hazel Keller HICKORY Hazel Reid Keller, 93, of Hickory, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Catawba Regional Hospice.

Born Dec. 26, 1919, in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hattie Coffey Reid. Mrs. Keller was a member of Christ United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Lee Keller, four brothers; and one sister.

Mrs. Keller is survived by a daughter, Delma Keller Propst, of Hickory; a brother, Samuel Reid, of Granite Falls; two sisters, Cleo Clark, of Hudson and Shirley Winters, of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Richard Ledford and wife, Cindy, Tommy Ledford, all of Hickory and Kim Spann and husband, Jerry, of Connelly Springs; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, in the Chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home, with the Revs. Todd Rudisill and Ed Warren officiating. Burial will follow, in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Bass-Smith Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.bass-smithfuneralhome.com.
