LIBERTY - Curtis E. Guffey, 87, of Paducah and Kuttawa, died Wednesday at River's Bend Nursing Home.

Born June 9, 1916, in Vidalia, Ga., he was a son of Hubert Goodson and Willie Belle Fogle Guffey. He was a retired certified public accountant, former vice president of Princeton Hosiery Mill and Paducah Bank and Trust, and comptroller of Clausner Hosiery of Paducah. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, Rizpah Temple of Madisonville, and master mason in the Plain City Lodge 449, Paducah. He was the widower of Nannette Duke Guffey.

Survivors include two sons, Craig E. Guffey of Kattawa, and Stan D. Guffey of Nashville; one brother, David Guffey of Maineville, Ohio; and one sister, Jessie Austin of Blackstone, Va.

Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Bartle Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at Middleburg Cemetery by Tim Guffey.

Memorials are suggested to be made to the Alzheimer's Association of United Methodist Church in Kuttawa.

Curtis E. Guffey and Nannette Duke were married. Nannette Duke was born on 12 February 1918. Nannette died at Wellington Parc in Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY on 31 August 2000 and was buried at Middleburg Cemetery in Middleburg, Middleburg Twp, Casey Co., KY in September 2000 .^{42142,42143,42144}
