Colston enlisted in the in Lamkin's Amherst-Nelson Light Artillery Regiment on 8 July 1862 at Massies Mill, Nelson Co, VA.5113 Colston died in Lyndhurst, Augusta Co., VA on 2 December 1862.

Colston Harrison Coffey and Delilah Ramsey were married on 20 September 1860 in Nelson Co., VA.5114,5115 Delilah Ramsey, daughter of Joshua Madison Ramsey and Nancy C. Steele, was born circa 1842.
