Campbell, eighty-six, died at eight-thirty o'clock Sunday morning at his home near Olivet church after an illness of fourteen months. Mr. Campbell was born in Nelson county, Nov. 4, 1847, but spent practically his entire life in Augusta county, where he farmed. He was a son of Francis and Sarah Grove Campbell. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ella Dodd, Mrs. John Hanover, Mrs. E. O. Carr, all of this county; two brothers, William Campbell, Buchanan; Francis Campbell, this county; a half-brother, Ulysses Campbell, this county; four sisters, Mrs. E. W. Robertson, Mabscott, W. Va.; Mrs. H. A. Coffey, Roanoke; Mrs. Marian Coffey, Lynchburg; Mrs. Lucy Grove, this county; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral was held this afternoon at three o'clock from the residence, conducted by the Rev. Dr. G. G. Martin, of Central Methodist church of which he was a member, assisted by the Rev. W. W. Sprouse, of the Third Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Thornrose cemetery. Pallbearers: active, Joseph Dudley, Irvine Coiner, William F.
