Born on March 28, 1925 in Watauga County, Mary was a daughter of the late, Filmore and Blanch Coffey Ford. Mary was a homemaker and also a member of Central Baptist Church of Lenoir. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Ronda Gerald Hampton; and her brothers and sisters, Stuart Ford, Ralph Ford, Frank Ford, Pansy Ford Jackson, Ella Ford Harrison, Ingle Ford, Blaine Ford, Herman Ford, Glenn Ford, Sadie Ford Church and Farthing Ford. Survivors include her sons and daughters in law, Royce Hampton of Lenoir, Gordon and Elaine Hampton of Lenoir, and Rex and Charlotte Hampton of Winston- Salem; her grandchildren, Amy and Mark Burns, Missy and Jon Hogan, Mandy and Kevin Roy and Dale Clontz; her great grandchildren, Addie Burns, Sully Hogan, and Destiny and Angelina Roy; three sister in laws, Brooke Ford, Ila Ford and Racheal Ford; Mary is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Mary's life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mountain Grove Church. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Burkhimer, and Reverend Jon Hogan. Interment will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be RK Jones, Dennis Ford, Mark Ford, Mark Burns, Kevin Roy and Dale Clontz. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Church prior to the service.
