Wayne died at University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA on 24 December 2017 and was buried at Rankin UMC Cemetery in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA on 26 December 2017 .⁴³⁷²⁴

Wayne Morgan Stump, 75, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2017, at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville. He was born April 25, 1942, in Augusta County, a son of the late John Edwin Stump and Irene Blanton Jones Stump.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Monte and two brothers, Joe and Frank.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Coffey Stump; two sons, Terry Stump and Mark Stump and his wife, Dottie; one daughter, Patience Fauber and her husband, Dale; four grandchildren, Zachary and Hannah Stump and Colby and Cyrus Fauber; two brothers, Norman Stump and his wife, Janet and Steve Stump and his wife, Jeanne and one sister, Doris Blake.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Rankin United Methodist Church Cemetery, 801 Howardsville Turnpike, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery for the service. At Wayne’s request there will be no formal visitation or viewing.
