4379. John Franklin Coffey⁵¹⁴³ was born on 20 April 1874 in Back Creek, Augusta Co., VA.^5143,14159 He lived with his parents in Nelson Co., VA on 22 August 1880. He registered for the WWI draft on 12 September 1915 in Lima, Allen Co., OH.¹¹⁵⁵⁷ John died of acute dilatation of the heart on 31 December 1933 at the age of 59 in Allen Co., OH and was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima, Allen Co., OH.^14160,14161

John Franklin Coffey was born 20 April 1874 in Back Creek, Augusta County, Virginia. He was the son of Jesse C. Coffey and Nancy F. Allen of Nelson County, Virginia. Shortly after his birth his family returned to Massies Mill District of Nelson County. He moved to Pike County, Ohio with his family sometime after 1880 and was there until his father was murdered in 1887, whereupon he returned to Virginia.

John Franklin was known as Frank. He was employed by the railroad in Virginia and Ohio and later as a mechanic with the gas company in Lima, Ohio. He was living in Dayton, Ohio at the time of his marriage to Willie Winsor on 19 August 1908 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. She was born 25 December 1888 in Rockbridge County and was the daughter of Sherman Winson and Mary Engram.

"Frank" and Willie had four children: Mabel Virginia born September 1909 in Bells Valley, Rockbridge County, Virginia; Ruth Ann born January 1911 in Miami County, Ohio; Thelma born about 1914; and Nancy Mildred born about 1918.

Frank and Willie were in Rockbridge County,Virginia on the 1910 census but appear to have returned to Ohio shortly thereafter. Their lived their remaining lives in Ohio.

Willie died 10 November 1924 in Lima, Ohio and Frank died 31 December 1933 in Lima, Ohio. They are buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima, Allen County, Ohio.

John Franklin Coffey and Willie Winsor were married on 19 August 1908 in Rockcastle Co., KY.^5159,14162 Willie Winsor, daughter of Sherman Winsor and Mary Engram, was born on 25 December 1888 in Rockcastle Co., KY.⁵¹⁴³ Willie died on 10 November 1924 at the age of 35 in Lima, Allen Co., OH and was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima, Allen Co., OH.^5143,14163

John Franklin Coffey and Willie Winsor had the following children:
