Carlyle "Buck" Coffey AMHERST - Carlyle "Buck" Coffey, 75, of Davenport, FL and formerly of Amherst, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011. He was born June 20, 1936 to the late Hardy Gleason Coffey and Ernestine Staton Coffey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Coffey; his sister, Shelby Messner; and his brother, Delmas Coffey. Surviving are his daughter, Deborah Coffey Mozingo and her husband, Michael, of Amherst; daughter, Veronica McCloskey and her husband, Jason, of Florida; son, William Arnold Coffey and his wife, Wanda, of Madison Heights; and a sister, Pauline Ogden of Lynchburg. In addition he is survived by three grand- children, Anthony Coffey of Amherst; Tatum McCloskey of Florida; Michael Lee of Florida; a great-grandchild, Hannah Coffey of Amherst; and a grandpup, Mary Mac (Mozingo) of Amherst.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Driskill Funeral Chapel, 201 Grandview Dr., Amherst, VA, phone 434-946-5529, with the Reverend Stan Ogden officiating. Interment will be in Amherst Cemetery.
