After his honorable discharge they made their home near Easton, where Curtis owned and operated Coffey's Garage. He was a member of the Freeman Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Curtis was also a member of the Gower American Legion Post 393 and the Easton Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Coffey and sister Mary Lee Sutton, and granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Fuson. Curtis is survived by his wife, Freida; three daughters, Eva Gray and husband, Larry, Stewartsville; Peggy Sutton and husband, Don, Aloha, Oregon, and Carol Fuson and husband, Kevin, St. Joseph;, five grandchildren, Jeff Gray and wife, Ruth, Kim Thompson and husband, Brian, Rob Sutton and wife, Kim, Becky Smith and husband, Wayne, and Melissa O'Conor and husband, Sean; six great-grandchildren, Grant, Drew, Anthony, Samuel, Olivia, Ethan, and expectant great-granddaughter, Emily; sister, Adeline Whiteley, Gower and Dorothy Jean Banman, Easton; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 23rd at the Freeman Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Easton, MO. Burial with Military Honors: Kerns-Freeman Cemetery, Easton.
