SHERANDO, May 5-Funeral services for Charles Palmer Campbell, 80, who died May 1, were held Monday from the home with burial in the family cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Frank Hatter, Love; Mrs. Frank Fitzgerald, Waynesboro and Miss Mae Campbell, Oakhill, W. Va., a son, Rufus Campbell, of Roseland, Nelson county; two sisters, Mrs. John Critzer, Lyndhurst, and Miss Matilda Campbell, Staunton; a brother, John Campbell, of Nelson county; 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Born in 1857, Mr. Campbell was a member of the Mt. View Mennonite Church and his funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. C. Shank and Rev. Ulysses Campbell.

Charles Palmer Campbell and Martha Louise Henderson were married on 1 June 1881 in Sherando, Augusta Co., VA.¹³⁵⁹⁸ Martha Louise Henderson, daughter of Nicholas Henderson and Louise Offlighter, was born on 26 March 1861 in Virginia. Martha died in Virginia on 15 October 1927 and was buried at Charles Campbell Family Cemetery in Love, Augusta Co., VA in October 1927 .¹³⁵⁹⁹
