She was born on April 24, 1921, in Caldwell County to the late William J. and Elsie Hodges Coffey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude G. Wright, Sr., and one brother, Carroll Coffey. Mrs. Wright was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include nine sons, James S. Wright and Steve Wright of Lenoir, Rodney, Charles and Tom Wright of Collettsville, the Rev. Bill Wright of Granite Falls and Will, Rocky and Rex Wright of Spartanburg, S.C.; one daughter, Betty Kay Epley of Morganton; five sisters, Lillie Ford of Granite Falls, Nina Ford of Collettsville, Agnes Coffey of Hickory, Christine Adams of Newton and Lored Hayes of Vilas. The funeral is Saturday at West Lenoir Baptist Church at 3 p.m. with the Revs. Bill Wright, Edd Warren and James Lockee officiating. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The deceased's sons will serve as pallbearers. The deceased's grandsons will be honorary pallbearers.
