Albert Finley Chester, age 78, of Atwood Court, Lenoir, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Lenoir Health Care. He was born March 25, 1936 in Caldwell County to the late Finley and Martha Coffey Chester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters. 

Mr. Chester was a self-employed Sawmill worker. 

Survivors include one brother, Paul Chester of Lenoir; and three sisters, Mrs. Flora Adkins, Mrs. Rowena Negron, both of Illinois and Addie Lambert of Lenoir; and sister-in-law, Thelma Chester. 

The family will receive friends Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:00 noon at Ford’s Family Cemetery conducted by Rev. Russell Cook. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
