Velma Maxine Terry Patterson of Ohio died Friday, Jan, 6, 2006 at Clairmont-Mercy Hospital. She was 86.

Born in Yosemite, she was a daughter of the late Luther Perry and Mildred Gay Black Terry.

She was a homemaker and former waitress. She was a member of Mt. Olive Christian Church and attended the First Christian Church of Taylorsville. 

She was the widow of Ventis Patterson.

Survivors include a son, Patrick Patterson of Taylorsville; a daughter, Levonn Canada of Ohio; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Jan. 9 at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Waterfill officiating. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. 

Velma Maxine Terry and Ventis Patterson were married on 16 October 1937 in Scott Co., TN.⁴⁰⁶⁰⁵ Ventis Patterson, son of Willis G. Patterson and Annie L. , was born on 19 October 1915 in Kentucky. Ventis died in Casey Co., KY in April 1987.⁴⁰⁶⁰⁶
