Wallace Coffey and Ethelyn Elizabeth Henry were married. Ethelyn Elizabeth Henry, daughter of Walter Henry and Mary Fugate, was born on 23 May 1923 in Liberty Road, Morgan Co., KY. Ethelyn died in Morehead, Rowan Co., KY on 7 November 2006 and was buried at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Jessamine Co., KY on 10 November 2006 .

MT STERLING - Ethelyn E. Coffey, 83, widow of George "Buck" Coffey, passed away on Nov. 7, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Morgan County to Walter M. Henry and Mary Fugate Henry on May 23, 1923.

Mrs. Coffey worked for and was retired from the Defense Department (Army and Air Force Exchange Service). While accompanying her husband in his military career (and later as a result of her own career) she lived throughout the world. She traveled extensively throughout 49 of the 50 states, 9 of the Canadian provinces, Mexico and many European, Asian and Central American countries.

Mrs. Coffey was an accomplished genealogist who did extensive research for the author of the 625 page Henry Family Book plus projects of her own. The deceased was a current member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mt. Sterling, and the DAR. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star and a Kentucky Colonel.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jo Swanson (Douglas) of Warba, Minn., three grandchildren, Jodi Anderson (Brad), of Eagan, Minn., Joel Swanson (Stacy) of Fargo, ND, and Alex Zhukov (Jodi) of Duluth, Minn., a sister-in law, Edith Smith of Owensboro, four great grandchildren, Jackson Anderson, Jillian Anderson, Sean Swanson, Kendall Jo Swanson, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family extends its gratitude to the staff at Mary Chiles Hospital for their loving care, especially to Mary Linden, Donna Adams, Blanche Purvis and Malida Smoot. A very special thanks is given to Dr. Richard Hall, Becky Royse and the St. Claire Hospice Service, and to all her many friends who stayed by her side throughout this long ordeal.

Funeral services will be held at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals, 1002 Woodford Dr., Mt. Sterling, on Fri. at 10am. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Thur. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to: First Presbyterian Church, 125 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 or St. Claire Hospice and Palliative Care, 304 W. Second St., Morehead, KY 40351.
