Painter Charlottesville, July 12 - Funeral services for David Edward Painter, a native of Nelson County, were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. H. Phillips, at Montebello. Interment was in the family burying ground. Mr. Painter was born Aug. 22, 1865, son of the late John and Nancy B. Fitzgerald Painter. He is survived by two sons, A. T. Painter, of Staunton, and A. D. Painter, of Middlebrook; and four daughters, Mrs. Phillips; Mrs. A. G. Fitzgerald, of Raphine; Mrs. W. H. Fitzgerald, of Staunton; and Mrs. H. M. Painter, of Stuarts Draft; one sister, Mrs. Willis Campbell, of Avon, and two brothers, O. D. Painter, of Alexandria, and A. V. Painter, of Staunton.
