1633. Leland Lee "Lee" Coffey was born on 28 July 1851 in Cherokee Co., NC. Leland in Marble, Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC reported meeting disruption there. Skunk scent that disrupted the meeting thought to be on young men in attendance but, was on their dogs instead.⁶¹⁰⁸

L. L. Coffey, of Marble, informs us that the young men who were accused of disturbing meeting by the fumes of a skunk on their clothes, was a mistake, and the odor was on the dogs. We hope this is correct. Lee died on 11 November 1907 at the age of 56 in Cherokee Co., NC and was buried at Moss Cemetery in Marble, Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC.^6109,6110

They appeared in the census on 23 June 1880 in Murphy Twp., Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹¹ They^⁶¹¹¹ appeared in the census on 22 June 1900 in Valleytown, Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹² Elizabeth Jane Manis was born on 28 February 1856 in North Carolina. She appeared in the census on 28 April 1910 in Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹³ She appeared in the census on 2 January 1920 in Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹⁴ Elizabeth appeared in the census on 2 April 1930 in Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹⁵ She lived with her son Squire Morgan Coffey in Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC on 7 May 1940. Elizabeth died on 22 December 1943 at the age of 87 in Cherokee Co., NC and was buried at Moss Cemetery in Marble, Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹⁶

He registered for the WWI draft on 12 September 1918 in Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹⁷ He lived with his mother in Cherokee Co., NC on 2 January 1920. Squire lived with his mother in Cherokee Co., NC on 2 April 1930. He appeared in the census on 7 May 1940 in Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC.⁶¹¹⁸ Squire died in Marble, Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC of cardiac arrest on 17 December 1971 at the age of 89 and was buried at Moss Cemetery in Marble, Valley Town Twp., Cherokee Co., NC on 18 December 1971.^6119,6120 Squire never married.
