She was the widow of William Stewart Gregory, who died June 4, 1960, and was a member of the West Waynesboro Church of Christ. She was born in Nelson County on April 12, 1890, and was a daughter of the late Floyd Lee and Mary Jane Weaver Coffey. She is survived by one son, William F. Gregory of Norfolk; two step-daughters, Mrs. Rufus Puckett of Craigsville and Mrs. Richard Piner of Staunton; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Arnold and Mrs. Ellis Everitt, both of Lyndhurst; and one brother, Zandy Coffey, of Lyndhurst. A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Etter Funeral Home, conducted by Dennis Harris, who will be assisted by Harvey Powell. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J. F. Hartbarger, Clark Jordan, Ray Turner, W. M. Drumheller, Houston Huffman and Louis G. Ferrier. Flower bearers will be members of the Truth Seekers Bible Class of the West Waynesboro Church of Christ. Melvina Coffey and William Stewart Gregory were married. Born Jan. 14, 1882, in Lexington, Mr. Gregory was a son of the late James William and Elizabeth Edwards Gregory. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Melvina Coffey Gregory, one son, William F. Gregory, Norfolk; two brothers, Thomes E. Gregory, Craigsville, and Howard Gregory, Augusta Springs; two daughters, by a former marriage, Mrs. Rufus Puckett, Craigsville, and Mrs Richard Piner, Middlebrook; and a number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Body will remain at the Etter Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of the Etter Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Holbert Brown of the First Christian Church of Charlottesville, assisted by Mr. Dennis Harris and Mr. Harvey Powell. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ray Turner, J. F. Hartbarger, Carroll Campbell, Clark Jordan, William Mayo and Houston Huffman. Honorary bearers will be William H. Ferrier, Louis G. Ferrier, Sterling Simpson, Richard McGordon, Dr. B. K.
