Edna Hollar Swink, age 85, of Whitetail Drive, Lenoir, died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born September 15, 1926 in Caldwell County to the late C. M. Hollar and Mary Coffey Hollar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Clifton Marshall Hollar; several brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Swink was retired from the furniture industry and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, James Larry Swink of Lenoir; one sister, Mrs. Marie Parsons of Lenoir; grandchildren, Kristy Presnell and husband Danny of Deep Gap, Karen Swink Whitener and husband Michael of Lenoir and Janice Toliver of Lenoir; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Philyaw.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
