Saylor F. Coffey LYNDHURST - Saylor Floyd Coffey, 81, of Rt. 1, died on Monday Oct. 14, 1996) at his residence. He was born on Aug. 8, 1915 at Nelson County, a son of Joseph and Tressa Coffey. He was a member of Mt. Top Christian Church where he served as a deacon and trustee. He was retired from Blue Ridge Parkway.

Surviving are his widow, Annie B. Coffey; a son, Saylor Coffey Jr. of Love; four grandchildren; a step-granddaughter; three great-grand- children; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Waynesboro chapel of Etter-Reynolds Funeral Service by the Revs. Ray Coffey and Elwood Campbell and Dr. Joe Nelson, with burial at Mt. Top Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Demastus, Ralph Hewitt, Mitchell Seaman, Bill Sensabaugh, Elmer Fitzgerald and Shelby Everitt. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews and members of Mt. Top Christian Church.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.

Mr. Coffey is also survived by his grandchildren, Mrs. David (Teresa) Sours, David Coffey and his wife, Chris, Mike Coffey and his wife Audrey, and Mrs. Micah (Rebecca) Kyle; A step granddaughter, Mrs. Tracy (Heather) Ayers, Great Grandchildren, Ashley Sours, Nathan Sours and Renea Coffey and his daughter-in-law, Lynn Coffey.

LOVE — Annie Bell (Everitt) Coffey, 88, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville. She was born March 10, 1922, in Nelson County, daughter of the late Henry M. and Mittie Bell (Coffey) Everitt of Love.

She was a homemaker and lifelong member of Mountain Top Christian Church in Love.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Saylor F. Coffey; three brothers, Henry Willard, George Ray and Eugene L. Everitt; a daughter-in-law, Laverta (Bruce) Coffey; and a great-grandson, Nathan Sours.

Surviving family members include a son, Saylor J. "Billy" Coffey and wife, Lynn; five grandchildren, Teresa Sours and husband, David, David Coffey and wife, Chris, Mike Coffey and wife, Audrey, Heather Ayers and husband, Tracy, and Rebecca Thompson and husband, Pat; six great-grandchildren, Ashley Sours Hogsett and husband, Michael, Renea Coffey, Peyton Ayers, Olivia and Lance Thompson and Tressia Coffey; a brother, Shelby Everitt and wife, Nell; a sister, Lucy Everitt; a sister-in-law, Mary Everitt; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Richard Peters at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Mountain Top Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie and Paul Everitt, Butch Alford, Jeff Hewitt, Les Brown and Herman Painter.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends and members of Mountain Top Christian Church.
