Eugene Kenneth Coffey and Irma Dooley were married. Irma Dooley was born on 27 July 1901 in Bedford Co., VA. Irma died at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Waynesboro, Independent City, VA on 26 October 1994 and was buried at Fort Hill Memorial Park in Lynchburg, Independent City, VA on 29 October 1994 .^29182,29183

Irma Dooley Coffey of 1818 Langhorne Square, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1994, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. 

Born in Bedford County, July 27, 1901, she was the daughter of William Lee and Blanche Moore Dooley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Kenneth Coffey. She was a member of First Christian Church, Lynchburg, and throughout her life, was actively involved in the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, at Euclid Christian Church, Lynchburg, and Park View Christian, Portsmouth. She served as Sunday school teacher, youth leader, deaconess and in many leadership positions. 

She was a member of Fort Hill Woman's Club in Lynchburg, and for 15 years, taught Kindergarten children in her private schools, ''Sparky's'' in Portsmouth and Campbell County. 

She is survived by two daughters, Rachel C. Wilson of Lynchburg and Dale C. Shaw and her husband, Herbert E. Shaw of Chesapeake; a granddaughter, Susan W. Gough and her husband, Carlton L. Gough of Rustburg, and a grandson, Stephen S. Wilson and his wife, Terri T. Wilson of Lynchburg; a sister, Marie Dooley Mays of Lynchburg; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at First Christian Church, with burial in Fort Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Edwards officiating. 

The family will receive friends today, from 7 to 9 p.m. at First Christian Church, and other times at 1442 Ashbourne Drive. 

The family requests memorials be made to First Christian Church Memorial Fund, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
