Nancy died on 2 August 1947 at the age of 78 in Nelson Co., VA and was buried at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery in Love, Augusta Co., VA.^14681,14682

Mrs. Florence N. Snead, 78, died at 1:20 a.m. today in King's Daughters' Hospital Staunton where she had been a patient there for the last ten days after breaking her hip in a fall.

Mrs. Snead had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Hugh Coffey of Lyndhurst, and was the widow of the late Andrew Lee Snead.

She was born April 2, 1869, in Nelson County, the daughter of the late William and Nancy Campbell Coffey. She had been a lifelong member of the Christian Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Flick, Lyndhurst, Mrs. Maggie Coffey, Waynesboro, Route 2, and Mrs. Gladys Coffey, Lyndhurst; one son, William R. Snead, Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. Hester Fitzgerald, Stuarts Draft, Mrs. Rettie Dodd, Buena Vista, and Mrs. Lizzie Fitzgerald, Buena Vista; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Remains will rest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hugh Coffey, at Lyndhurst until Sunday afternoon.

Funeral will be conducted by R. T. Harris at the Christian Church of Love at 2:0 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. [Contributed by: jboppe@cfw.com]

He appeared in the census on 9 September 1870 at with his parents in Lovingston, Nelson Co., VA. Andrew died on 22 January 1923 at the age of 55 in Nelson Co., VA and was buried at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery in Love, Augusta Co., VA.¹⁴⁶⁸⁷
