Waterford - Sharon Ann Beck, 64, of Waterford, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

She was born in Lenoir, N.C. on Oct. 7, 1947, the daughter of Hortense (Wood) Coffey of Quaker Hill and the late William Coffey. She married Donald Beck in New London on Nov. 30, 1963, he survives. Mrs. Beck was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Montville and was employed there as a secretary. 

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two sons, Donald Beck Jr. and his wife, Marjorie, of Fishers Island, N.Y.; Robert W. Beck of Waterford; three sisters, Debbie Paskewich and her husband, Joseph, of New London, Sheila Muscella and her husband, William, of Quaker Hill, Wanda Reid and her husband, Frank, of Hudson, N.C.; a granddaughter, Brianna Beck; brother-in law, Ronald Beck and his wife, Pamela, of Waterford; sister-in-law, M. Ruth Clifford of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, William Coffey.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery. There will be a calling hour 10 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either the Calvary Chapel or to the Kidney Foundation.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Greentree Manor, Yale-New Haven Hospital and DaVita Dialysis for their care and compassion during her illness.
