STUARTS DRAFT-Woodrow Davis Campbell, 61, of 331 Main St., Stuarts Draft, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Waynesboro Community Hospital.
He was born in Love on April 24, 1916, a son of the late Ailet and Arminta Coffey Campbell.

He was a retired maintenance department employee of the Crompton-Shenandoah Co. and a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church in Sherando.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Monnie May Coffey Campbell; one son, Roger Edwin Campbell of Amherst; one daughter, Mrs. James M. (Linda) Haymaker of Petersburg; one sister, Mrs. Forest (Eva) Coffey of Lyndhurst; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Mountain View Mennonite Church, conducted by the Rev. Roy D. Kiser and the Rev. Charles C. Ramsey, with interment in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Coffey, Houston Coffey, Elmer Hewitt, Ralph Campbell, Lawrence Campbell and James Truslow.

Honorary pallbearers will be John Haymaker, Jesse Bridge, Raymond Lunsford, Harry Campbell, Claude Campbell, Freddie Coffey, Dennis Coffey and Ronnie Coffey.

The body is at the Etter Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight.

Monnie C. Campbell, 81, of Spotsylvania, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, October 26, 2003, after a long illness.

Monnie was born January 11, 1922 in Montebello, the daughter of the late Chester B. and Ruby Coffey.

She retired from E. I. DuPont in 1983 after 32 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow D. Campbell; two brothers, Van and Bernard Coffey, all formerly of Amhurst, Va.

Survivors include a son, Roger E. Campbell of Amherst and a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jim Haymaker who reside in Spotsylvania, where Monnie made her home for the past eight years; four grandchildren; Tim Campbell, Christopher Haymaker, Matthew Haymaker and Angelia Pretchel; four great-grandchildren: Tyler and Morgan Campbell, Abigial Haymaker and Bridigette Pippen; one brother, Swanson J. Coffey and his wife Madge of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Clarris Grant and her husband Ed of Staunton and Edna Smith and her husband Raymond of Stephens City and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted 2 PM Wednesday in the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Service by Rev. Robert Ellinger, Pastor of Hebron Baptist Church, Spotsylvania, Virginia. Burial will follow at Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Fred Coffey, Tim Campbell, Gary Coffey, Jim Haymaker, Chris Haymaker and Matt Haymaker.

The Family will receive friends 7 to 9 PM Tuesday at Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro.
