Born in Nelson County on June 19, 1867, Mr. Coffey was a son of the late Edmund and Mary Monroe Coffey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Nannie Campbell Coffey. Mr. Coffey was a member of the Mountain Top Christian Church, Love. Survivors include two sons, John M. Coffey and Forrest Coffey, both of Love; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald, Stuarts Draft; and a number of grandchildren. Body will remain at the McDow-Tyree Funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
