Barbara Fitzgerald Long, 69, of Max Meadows, died Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Long was born September 13, 1942 in Rockbridge County and was the daughter of the late James H. Fitzgerald and Mamie Coffey Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Long.

Mrs. Long is survived by five children, Sheila and John Walters, Shelly Wilburn, Amanda Anderson and John Jonathan, Vickie and Jimbo Stevers, Rhonda Rich and David Anderson; one sister, Patsy and Roger Clark; two brothers, Henry and Debra Fitzgerald, Carl Fitzgerald; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on July 6, 2012 at the Glasgow cemetery, with the Rev. Lewis McDaniel and the Rev. Dean Staton officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until noon on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation service, Buena Vista.
