He was a retired minister and chaplain of the Oklahoma State Penitentiary and the McAlester Ministerial Alliance. He was born on Dec 12, 1905 in Brock and was married to Clara Franklin on Nov 8, 1972 in Pittsburg, Texas. He was a Southern Baptist minister for over 50 years and pastored churches in Ringling, Lone Grove, Tipton, Weleetka, Tahlequah and was Associational Missionary to the Enon Association. Rev Bigbie retired his prison chaplain post in 1975 and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He is survived by his wife Clara, a daughter, Patricia Keily of Bremerton, Wash; three sons, Eugene of Bellevelle, Texas; Bane of Ringling and Burke of Hobbs, N.M.; on step-son, Chet Franklin of McAlester; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by three brothers, Earl of Pittsburg, Texas; Roy of Ardmore; and Paul of Lake Havasu City, Ariz; a sister Alyne Fransen and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at the Mills Funeral Chapel Monday April 3 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in the Ringling Cemetery with graveside services at 4 p.m. Jewel Coffey and Rev.
