101. Lewis Coffey was born on 25 May 1796 in Wilkes Co., NC. In 1841 he was on the tax rolls in Morgan Co., IN.³⁴⁰ Lewis died on 23 February 1854 at the age of 57 in Owen Co., IN and was buried at Coffey Cemetery in Ellettsville, Monroe Co., IN.³⁴¹

Lewis Coffey and Harriet E. Powell³⁴² were married circa 1830. They appeared in the census on 24 September 1850 in Monroe Co., IN.³⁴³ Harriet E. Powell was born on 17 March 1811 in North Carolina. She lived with her daughter Martha Chord in Ellettsville, Clay Twp., Owen Co., IN on 18 June 1860. Harriet died in Indiana on 12 May 1877. Coffey Cemetery in Ellettsville, Monroe Co., IN in May 1877 .³⁴⁴
