Mrs. Emzie Hartley Eller, age 92, of Ferguson, widow of Louis Elmo Eller died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, at 2:00 PM at Beaver Creek Advent Christian Church with the Rev. David Blythe and the Rev. Gordon A. Noble officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery [sic]. A celebration of Mrs. Eller's life will be held in the Hartley Memorial Fellowship Hall following the service.

Mrs. Eller was born in Wilkes County, July 13, 1919, to Henry and Ida Harris Hartley. She was a member of Beaver Creek Advent Christian Church. Mrs. Eller was a member of Ferguson Grange and Ferguson Home Demonstration Club. She was the recipient of many awards for her seamstress work, knitting and for her delicious baked goods.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Eller was preceded in death by a sister, Dixie Hartley Eller and husband, Vaden; a brother, Lewis Sycho Hartley and wife, Hazel.

Mrs. Eller is survived by one daughter, Jane Eller Noble and husband, Rev. Gordon of Boone; two sons, David Louis Eller of Ferguson and Ernest Duncan Eller and wife, Barbara Kay of Wilkesboro; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Emzie Celeta Hartley and Lewis Elmo Eller were married on 15 June 1940 in Johnson Co., TN.³³¹⁹¹ Lewis Elmo Eller, son of Green Moore Eller and Martha Rebecca Walsh, was born on 11 May 1909 in Wilkes Co., NC. Lewis died in Lenoir, Caldwell Co., NC on 1 October 1994 and was buried at Beaver Creek Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Ferguson, Wilkes Co., NC in October 1994 .³³¹⁹²
