ELIJAH COFFEY DIES AT 58 Lexington Herald-Leader (KY) — Wednesday, March 29, 1989 JAMESTOWN -- W. Elijah Coffey, a former Russell County attorney, died Monday at Humana Hospital University of Louisville, apparently of a ruptured aneurysm. He was 58. He was county attorney from about 1962 to 1974. He was the attorney for the Russell County Board of Education at his death. Coffey also was a farmer. He was a Russell County native and a graduate of the University of Kentucky Surviving are his wife, Mary Lola Lester Coffey; a daughter, Laura Ann Coffey of Jamestown; and two sisters. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapels. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. today. A living couple was married. Living was born in 1942. W.
