A native of Rockcastle County, was a member of the Liberty Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Grace Gill, Berea, and Mrs. Rosie Hembree, Franklin, Ohio; four sons, William Coffey, Franklin, Ohio; Luther and Athael Coffey, Berea, and Lawrence Coffey, Strickler, Okla. 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rominger Funeral Home by the Rev. Denton Sears. Burial will be in the Silver Creek Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.
