Mr. Coffey was born Oct. 16, 1959, in Murphy. He was a member of the 516 Petal Masonic Lodge in Petal Mississippi. He was employed by ERB Industries as a maintenance technician. Mr. Coffey enjoyed building cars and outdoor activities. Survivors include his wife, Kay Coffey; daughter, Amy Coffey of Ellijay; son, Michael Coffey of Ellijay; mother, Lena Hill, McCaysville, Ga.; father, Ladd L. Coffey of Crestview, Fla.; sister, Angela Coffey Lalak of McCaysville, Ga.; brothers, Joey Coffey, of McCaysville, Ga., Rory Coffey of McCaysville, Ga., William Coffey, Conifer of Colorado, and Rodney Coffey of Faribault, Minn. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Revs. Alan Picklesimer and Jim Dickey officiating.
