Mary Coffey Bumgarner, 81, of Hudson, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Gateway Nursing Center.
Mrs. Bumgarner was born in Avery County to the late Grover Coffey and Cora Gragg Coffey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Baine Hartley and her second husband Harold Bumgarner; a son Keith Hartley; a grandson Chris Hartley; a great grandson Keaggen Hartley; her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Tim Hartley and wife Lisa of Morganton and Reverend Terry Hartley and wife Regina of Boone; a daughter, Zandy Hartley of Lake Tahoe, CA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Fulenwider, Ryan Hartley, Ashley Hartley, Samantha Hartley, Aleisha Hartley, Steven Midkiff and Eric Midkiff and seven great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Poovey's Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Nicky Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
