Martha Ann (Rhodes) Coffey, 78, of Waynesboro, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013, at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fishersville. Mrs. Coffey was born on August 13, 1934, in Goochland, Virginia. She worked as a home maker. Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert Coffey. Mrs. Coffey is survived by a son, Jimmy Coffey and wife, Earline, of Waynesboro;two daughters, Janet Wilkinson and husband, John, and Carolyn Garrison and husband, Dickie, both of Waynesboro;seven grandchildren;and seven great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Coffey was preceded in death by three brothers. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013, at Riverview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. A formal procession to the cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center;1001 Mt. Torrey Rd., Lyndhurst, VA 22952.
